Location: London, Greater London Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + Benefits

Site Engineer/Senior Engineer – Mixed Use Commercial/Retail Build – Central London

 

We are currently partnering with a Tier 2 Main Contractor with over 400 years of construction experience and over 50 years’ experience construction in Europe. Due to their continued growth, they are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join their London arm to contribute to their further development.

 

Responsibilities

 

Project Coordination & Execution – Oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all construction activities align with project plans, specifications, and schedules while coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Quality Control & Compliance – Ensure that all construction work meets design specifications, building codes, and industry standards (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, local regulations) through regular inspections and quality assurance processes.

Technical Problem-Solving – Identify and resolve technical issues on-site, including structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and finishing challenges, to maintain construction progress and avoid delays.

Health & Safety Management – Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with HSE teams to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting – Liaise with project managers, architects, consultants, and clients to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure smooth project delivery while maintaining detailed site records and progress reports.

 

Requirements

 

Must have SMSTS Certificate

Relevant degree qualification and 3-5 years postgraduate experience is advantageous

Must be able to reliably commute to and from Central London

 

Benefits

 

£50,000-£55,000 per annum
